Valuable Tool for Family Research
This book was a huge project for the team that put it together, especially in 1934. The foreword has a fascinating description of the 1930s technology used to reproduce the original handwritten lists. This book is a valuable find for anyone researching ancestors who came to America via this wave of immigration from Germany. An earlier review took issue with the difficulty of deciphering old handwriting and German names. A later edition of Pennsylvania German Pioneers has printed transcriptions of the lists, which makes it a good companion to this original edition.
